Don Muthu Swami Hindi is a Bollywood film, released in May 2008. Don Muthu Swami is a comical tale of a Don, pushed to choose the path of Ahimsa by his dying father to change from Don Muthuswami to Sir Muthuswami. Produced by Ashim Samanta, Shakti Samanta and Aditya Samamta and directed by Ashim Samanta, the film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Hrishita Bhatt, Shakti Kapoor and Rohit Roy.
This movie is a remake, though not acknowledged, of the 1991 Hollywood movie Oscar starring Sylvester Stallone. Ek Daav Dhobi Pachhad is a Marathi film starring Ashok Saraf which is a remake of Don Muthu Swami.
